An iconic Gold Coast landmark, the Jupiter’s Casino and Hotel refurbishment was a multi-staged, 12 month project, delivered as part of the $345 M transformation.
This project was all about precision and paying attention to the detail. It required coordination of multiple crews working 12 hour shifts to complete the scope of work, always balancing productivity, efficiency and safety. Delivered via rolling skilled teams of labourers, floor and senior management, at any period during the project, DEMEX worked on four levels simultaneously. We maintained adherence to strict controls around waste removal and noise management that were necessary due to the continued operations of the hotel and casino during the project demonstrating our capacity to adapt to challenging project conditions.
Successfully managed the project in the context of an operating hotel. Effectively addressed issues that emerged on the project e.g. mould on walls required teams working at night to meet schedule. Provided solutions to multiple variation works regarding structural matters, e.g. wallpaper glue/adhesives, mould remediation. Adhered to head contractor and client safety requirements.
